Fireside Science Chats
Let’s face it, things are a little chaotic right now. Let’s make the most of our social distancing and time with family to learn a bit more about our place in the universe. I’ll be hosting some online chats to share some cool science in this series of fireside science chats. Some of them will be aimed at younger explorers and their families and some just for adults. Also, parents, if you’d like a short personal chat for your kiddos, I’m happy to help take up 30-60 minutes of their time talking about science and answering their questions while you take a little break. Just shoot me a message! (I’m offering this entirely for free, but I do appreciate it if you can support my Patreon account).
I don’t currently have a chat scheduled this week, but stay tuned for next week for more!
Rocks from Space
This is a little chat about meteorites and planets. This is intended primarily for young learners in the K-5 age range. I talk for a little bit about the planets, our solar system, and rocks in space before showing off some of my meteorites. As always, I offer some time for the students and families to ask questions they may have about meteorites, astrobiology, astronomy, and more!
Unfortunately, we didn’t get a live recording of this show. However, if there are interested parents and students out there, I’m happy to record a version for watching whenever you have time as well.
